Saraband Christmas with a difference: Food Bank Book Bundles and The Literary Fiction Subscription
Posted on November 4, 2020
This Christmas we’re taking a different approach to gifting. The pandemic has shown the nation that we need to work together and support one another, so we wanted to launch some Christmas gifts that can help you do that this winter.
Introducing Food Bank Book Bundles
Since lockdown began the need for food support from food banks has soared. During the early phase of the pandemic in the UK, around half of people who used a food bank had never needed one before. Families with children have been hardest hit, and the government’s recent refusal to provide meals to disadvantaged children during school holidays will intensify this demand. As a result, food banks are stepping up their plans to work with local schools to provide holiday meals to families, and they need our help!
Food Bank Book Bundles do what they say on the tin: a book and a donation to The Trussell Trust. As a thank you for your generosity we’ll include a hand-written card, so your loved one knows a donation has been made in their name. And we’ll wrap it for you, so it feels extra special.
£20 (incl. P&P) with an £8 donation to The Trussell Trust.

& The Literary Fiction Subscription
The gift that keeps on giving (until October 2021)
We are also launching our first ever literary fiction subscription. The perfect gift for your book-obsessed friends and family. (Especially the ones that are hard to buy for.)
Four books from four award-winning authors sent straight to their door with a signed letter from the author and a set of book group questions curated by the editor. The first book will arrive in time for Christmas and the rest will follow throughout 2021. So your gift won’t just be for Christmas, it’ll carry on into the new year – ending with the highly anticipated fourth novel from Graeme Macrae Burnet, Case Study, in October.
Next year’s books will be sent to subscribers before they hit the shelves, meaning they’ll be the first to get their hands on a copy. £60 (for two paperbacks and two hardbacks, includes P&P and gift wrapping)
