A perceptive and richly informed guide to inviting birds into your life, A Garden Full of Birds draws on Susie White’s deep understanding of wildlife and garden ecosystems, shaped by years of hands-on experience outdoors. From winter berries outside the window to encouraging a dawn chorus and safe nesting sites, practical guidance is grounded in deep knowledge. Each chapter explores how considered choices around food, water, nesting places and safety can transform an outdoor space into a thriving habitat for birds.

With guidance on natural planting, bird tables, ponds, nest boxes and sheltering hedges, the book builds towards a holistic vision of a garden shaped for birds. An illustrated guide to the plants you can choose — from familiar berrying shrubs to surprising nectar sources — offers inspiration for every season, helping you create a place where birds not only visit, but belong.
