Nigel Andrew

Nigel Andrew has worked as a reference librarian, a critic and a feature writer for publications including theย Times, Listener, Sunday Times,ย andย Guardian/Observer. He then joined the staff ofย Radio Timesย before moving on to a full-time position at theย Daily Mail.ย He now contributes toย Literary Reviewย andย Slightly Foxed. His book,ย The Mother of Beauty: On the Golden Age of English Church Monuments,ย and Other Matters of Life and Deathย (2019) was described as ‘a wonderful book in every way, perfect for anyone interested in churches, in the lost corners of England, or in meditating on mortality’.
