THIRD award shortlisting for In the Valley of the Sun
Posted on August 9, 2018
In the Valley of the Sun, Andy Davidson’s sublime literary horror, has been shortlisted for the Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Awards 2018.
It’s the third time that the vampire thriller has been shortlisted for a major award, and it’s an incredible achievement for the debut author, who is appearing at this year’s Edinburgh International Book Festival on Monday 13 August.
In the Valley of the Sun was runner-up in the This Is Horror Awards 2017 and made the shortlist of the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a First Novel 2017. It tells the story of a drifter in the Texas desert who wakes up covered in blood after an encounter with a mysterious pale-skinned girl… and his life is changed forever.
Andy Davidson is appearing with Ahmed Saadawi, author of Frankenstein in Baghdad, at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Their event, Dark Hunger, takes place on Monday 13 August at 7pm. For tickets, visit the EIBF website.
